Houghton Lake Arts and Crafts Association

The Houghton Lake Arts and Crafts Association was formed in 1974
by a small group of artists who wanted to promote the study, appreciation, preservation and
enjoyment of original arts and crafts.  The group held their first craft show that summer. 
Over the years additional shows have been added.  Now in its 40th year the group hosts four annual shows.



This year's dates are as follows:


Memorial Day - May 24th and 25th, 2014 Summer - July 4th, 5th, and 6th, 2014
Labor Day - August 30th and August 31st, 2014
Christmas - November 15th, 2014
Our shows are well attended by not only area residents, but weekenders and tourists.  We offer
well organized shows and large spaces to display your items.  We have added attractions like face painting and 
free drawings for instant door prizes.  Food is always available with plenty of seating.

Houghton Lake Arts and Crafts Association is a non profit organization, with profits from
booth fees providing library books, supplies and scholarships for students in the
Houghton Lake School District as well as projects for the betterment of the community.
